Talmud Torah

The Talmud Torah is for children between 7 and 15 years old. In addition we have a kindergarten for children from 4 to 6 years old. Classes are given at the Gil in french but we have a lot of bilingual students and teachers.

Wednesdays : 13:30-15:30

Gan (Kindergarten – 4-6 years old),

Kitah Alef-Bet (7-8 years old),

Kitah Guimel (9 years old),

Kitah Dalet (10 years old),

Kitah Hé (11 years old)

Kitah Bné-Mitzvah (12-13 years old).

In addition, lunch is served Wednesdays before the classes of Talmud Torah as of 12:45

Fees: CHF 6.- per child and CHF 12.- per adult.

Hebrew classes 

The classes are given at GIL Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 12h30. Two levels are offered.

Bridge Club

Friday afternoons  at 14:00 at the GIL. Cost CHF 5.- (including 3.- for social/welfare for the GIL)

Every first Friday of the month a “potluck” lunch is organised at 12h00 followed by a big tournament at 13:45/14:00). Cost CHF 7.- (including 3.- for social/welfare for the GIL)

The club adapts its schedules accordingly to the GIL schedules. It is closed during the school holidays and the religious holidays.

GIL Choir

The Choir meets every Wednesday evening from 20:00 to 22:00 and is open to all members and non-members of the GIL of all ages!

Israeli dancing

Dance lessons are given every Wednesday during the Talmud Torah from 14:00 to 15:30 by Miri Kreimer.

Video Club GIL

For an initial CHF 20 .- sign-up fee, you can borrow English subtitled Israeli DVD films for up to a week.

Borrowing times: Wednesdays 14:30-15:30 at the GIL.
