A storyteller is not an actor or a performer. A storyteller is a channel through whom the story carves a path towards the ear of the listener. That said, the same story can be told over and over again and yet be heard for the first time every time. For this occasion, I shall be telling stories from the Jewish tradition which has so many, some of which are well known worldwide but with a Jewish tinge. With one exception, however, from elsewhere which I think, save for a few details, could very well be Jewish.
Believe me, stories are not just for children, they are our lifeblood. So when you hear something like “Once upon a time…”, “One day…”, “In a country far away…” just sit back, give your worries a rest and listen.
